The PPGA Scholarship Fund was started in 2008 as a way for the PPGA to give back to the community and assist young men and women in pursuit of higher education. Two students were awarded scholarships in 2008 and five were awarded in 2009. The goal of the PPGA Scholarship program is to reach and assist as many young people as possible in and around the Philadelphia area and surrounding communities.

2008 Recipients

William Harrington - William graduated from St. Joe's Prep with a 3.91 GPA where he played varsity lacrosse and was on the National Honor Society. William will be attending Loyola of Baltimore in the fall where he plans to major in Bio/Pre-Med. When not in the classroom William caddies at Rolling Green GC.

Matthew Hayes - Matthew is a Monsignor Bonner graduate and was also on the National Honor Society and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. While at Bonner, Matthew participated in varsity tennis, soccer and golf attaining all-catholic honors in tennis. Matthew will be attending Villanova University in the fall where he will major in Finance/Pre-Law. Matthew spends his weekends and summers as a caddie at Llanerch GC.
