Play PPGA Events for "FREE"
The PPGA is again having a raffle for a three-some to Merion GC, host of the 2013 US Open, with proceeds benefiting the PPGA Scholarship Fund. The round is redeemable in 2014 so it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play a US Open venue. Tickets are $10 each and the drawing will be at the PPGA Scholarship Fundraising tournament at Stonewall on November 4. The PPGA is offering a unique opportunity for you to both play in events during the year for "free," and help support the PPGA Scholarship Fund at the same time. How do I play for "FREE?" If you sell 12 chances for the raffle, you are given a free entry into a one-day championship (or half of one entry if it is a team event), all the while helping the scholarship fund. This may require a little work to sell the tickets but it can help you play the events free of charge and you will also be making a contribution to the continuing education of deserving young men and women. This opportunity is also available for the multiple day events. If you sell 19 tickets, your entry for either the Philadelphia Better-Ball Championship or the Philadelphia Open Amateur Championship will be "free." If you are only playing in the senior division of either of these you only need to sell 15 chances. To take advantage of this opportunity please send a check payable to the "PPGA Scholarship Fund" for the number of raffle tickets you want (for example, 12 tickets = $120) and note the event you would like to sign-up for. Once received the raffle tickets will be mailed to you immediately and you can begin selling. When you sell the tickets you will keep the money collected (since you already paid the Scholarship for them) and you will turn in the ticket stubs either by mailing to the PPGA or you can drop them off at an event.
