| Kimberton GC wins 2005 Terracciano Cup |
|
| Kimberton GC joins John F. Byrne as the only two-time winners of
the Terracciano Cup with it's victory Saturday, May 7. Kimberton, led by captain Dick Brockoff,
scored 88 points and outlasted defending champion, John F. Byrne, in a tight
battle by 3.5 points. Kimberton took
full use of their home course advantage by recording 30.5 out of a possible
36 points on their home turf. Rancocas
finished third with 64.5 points followed by Bensalem who scored 50 points. |

| Special
congratulations and best wishes go to Dick Brockoff who has served as
Kimberton's team captain every year since the inception of the team matches.
Dick is retiring and moving to Georgia in late May (where he most certainly
will be playing golf every day). Dick
has dedicated a lot of time and energy to the success of the PPGA over the
years. Not only has he participated
in the events, but Dick could be counted on to assist with the scoring and
provide insight with ideas for making our tournaments better. We wish Dick the best in his retirement
and many thanks for his contributions over the years. He will certainly be missed! |
